A few kilometers away from federal capital Islamabad sits the Dharma Rajika stupa. This is an importance religious site for the followers of Buddhism. Although past governments have not paid much attention to its upkeep but the present government is keen to promote religious tourism in Pakistan. Following the tradition, prime minister adviser Mr. Zulfi Bukhari along with members of civil society and Buddhist devotees visited the stupa to remember the Buddha on the occasion of Baisakhi.
