The tradition of distributing alms and food at shrines is centuries old. Food and accommodation are always available at shrines for travelers, students and the needy. Many visitors of shrine pray for resolving their miseries. On this occasion they also provide food for the destitute. Even famed celebrities would come to shrine taking part in almsgiving.
